Winter/spring retreat 2024 — Setomaa

Our lab’s Winter/Spring retreat took place in South-Eastern Estonia, where we enjoyed two days of good company, fresh perspectives, and plenty of memorable moments. We spent the first evening at Setomaa Turismitalu, starting with a fun teambuilding program led by Kalli Pikas — including group painting, dancing, and other activities — followed by an authentic sauna experience featuring the renowned smoke sauna and a hot tub.

On the next day, we visited the Vastseliina Castle Visitor Centre, where a local guide shared fascinating stories about the castle’s history and legends. Despite the less-than-springlike weather, the retreat was a rewarding and enjoyable event for everyone.
