Visit of Prof. Pablo Brumovsky (Austral University, Argentina)
In mid-September 2025, our lab and the Institute of Biomedicine and Translational Medicine had the pleasure of hosting Prof. Pablo Brumovsky (Austral University, Argentina), one of our key international collaboration partners.
Prof. Brumovsky is an outstanding neuroscientist with whom we collaborate on the development of brain-homing and pain-modulating neuropeptides. His visit strengthened our ongoing research interaction and opened new directions for future work.
Beyond his scientific expertise, Prof. Brumovsky holds several leadership roles at Austral University — he is the Deputy Director of the Institute of Translational Medicine (IIMT), Director of the PhD Program, and Associate Dean for Education at the Faculty of Medicine. Austral University, located in Buenos Aires, is one of the top private universities in Latin America, internationally recognized for excellence in translational medicine and clinical research.
The purpose of his visit extended beyond our direct projects. Prof. Brumovsky met with colleagues across the University of Tartu to explore opportunities for broader institutional collaboration, including student and researcher exchanges, joint training formats, and future cooperative initiatives between UT and Austral University.
